As I was primary worried to finish the research and complete the infographic, I forgot to share some important part of my inspiration/ideation process in here..
I must say that designing a circular infographic again was a big coincidence. (I swear it wasn't laziness lol). I actually rejected the circle idea for days but eventually I decided not to compromise the idea just because my previous infographic was also a circle. They have really different styles and narratives.
So my inspiration for this infographic was a film projector reel. (see below). This reel holds the film, which is shown by the projector through light (oversimplifying how that works but you got the idea right?). In the same way, my circular infographic "holds" different "chapters" of the film "How streaming is impacting the film industry". How the first group of information is presented is also inspired by a focus of light. The background is dark/black as a reference to a cinema room. The tittle fonts makes the words look they have been cut in half, a feel of change and disruption... but that at the same time looks cool (referencing with my research.... streaming is also disrupting so many things in the film industry, but that doesn't mean it is bad. )
And from there on I kept on complementing the design, attempting to make it look cool and modern... I'll share the final result on my next post..
