You can't start a fire without a spark

Assessment 3 is about analysing the technological impact on a specific industry and then presenting our research using an infographic. The good thing is that we get to chose the industry we want to work with, and before last class I was between packaging and cinema.

I know a fair bit about packaging and it is something I enjoy. But cinema I enjoy much more, although my experience is pretty much inexistent (unless watching movies count as experience, in that case I would be a pro).

At some point during last class John said we have to challenge ourselves, to get out of our comfort zone. And that is exactly why I am doing this Master, therefore there is no point choosing something I am used to, right? So cinema it is.

I'm not only passionated about cinema since I can remember, but I have also a hidden dream of working with it someday (I have never told anyone but my husband about this, and here I am sharing on a blog!). I've got absolutely no idea what would I do and where do I start but maybe this is it, maybe this assessment is a chance to get to know this industry beyond my TV's screen. Maybe this assessment is my spark (referring the tittle now, a phrase from Bruce Springsteen 1984 song.. as it turns out I'm also a huge fan of music)

I am a bit concern on who I could interview for Assessment 4 though, my first options are James Cameron, Christopher Nolan and the Wachowskis - but I am afraid that might be some complications with that. 🙄🙄🙄

No worries, I have a plan. I'll contact some film/studio companies and if no one replies I know some people that could help.... and now I'll leave you with young Bruce.. tchau!
