Tan ta na na naaaann!!!

(this is a really poor onomatopoeia attempt to simulate a "here it is" sound 😂 )

Wow! that was fun.

Creating the digital version was quite simple once I had the analogue in hands. I mean, adding all the text in a circular shape was really time consuming, I lost the count of how many layers I had to create on this artwork, but since the idea was ready, all I had to do was to execute. I did play around with the colours and other details, but the main concept remained as it was.

Now I will use the checklist I created to analyse good x bad infographics to analyse my own work.

Is it Visually appealing? I believe so! I am personally happy on how it looks.

Easy to understand? Well it is easy for me since I created, so I guess I will need a second opinion on that...

Basic graphic design principles? I was really thoughtful of contrast, alignments and fonts.

It is kind of interactive? yes, as there is no starting point to read it.

Has one single theme and all elements are connected to it? yes. although I am not sure that everyone will get the "stage" idea behind it.

Don't rely simply on data visualisation? no! there is a whole concept behind it.

Deliver something? It does :)

So I guess I kinda passed my own "what makes an infographic" good list.

If I had more time, I would try to make the "stage" concept more obvious for everyone. Maybe adding more graphic details - which I was afraid that would make my design messy, but now I think I could have probably worked it out this part better.

I ended up being couple of hours late for this second submission due the report we had to write, but as I was writing it down I had so many insights about technology and how much we rely on these tools nowadays. I came up with the conclusion that, like everything else in life, it's all about finding a balance.

We do need to adapt and use technology in our favour, but most importantly, we must not forget the basic and core principles of what we do, because the core of what we do has nothing to do with technology, but with us, as human beings.
